Chair No. 2 is a two-tiered chair designed to accommodate multiple sitting positions and movement between them. Visually and functionally, the chair is a desire-object intended to indulge feelings of hyperactivity in the body. It is soft-looking with white knobby-textured upholstery and curvy maple legs. Its life-like form is both dendriform and anthropomorphic, mirroring and inviting the human body.

This work was hand-made: relying on tenons and angle grinding to achieve the form. It is made from boucle fabric, upholstery foam, ply, and maple. The shape of the wooden supports was intuitive, based only on known
