This chair design was a response
to my bad relationship with a bright green plastic Ikea chair. It contrasts the
hard violent injection molded plastic that sits the body at 90°. The form is
intended to facilitate movement between sitting positions and indulge feelings
of hyperactivity. The material is soft and comforting: foam, wood, and warm
yellow fabric are antithetical to the stern ambivalence of my plastic chair.
